On Wednesday, Jan. 30, Dobbs Ferry resident Kevin Holloway was indicted and arraigned on charges that include manslaughter, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of reckless assault of his 8-week-old son, who suffered head trauma while in his care.

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced that on Tuesday, Jan. 22, while in their Dobbs Ferry home, Holloway allegedly caused severe injuries to his son. The injuries to the inside of the infant’s head and brain were “consistent with acute abusive head trauma,” and it was determined that was the case of the child’s death.

Late on Wednesday night, Joe Tacopina, an attorney for Holloway emailed Daily Voice a statement on behalf of his client.

“Today one tragedy was compounded by another.  Kevin Holloway is an incredibly loving father of his children who has never and would never harm his children, which makes this false allegation even more outrageous than it would otherwise be,” he said.” The district attorney made a very uneducated charging decision, a decision that took them a year to reach, and as a result, Kevin and Jenny have never even had time to appropriately grieve.  We are confident that when the true facts are brought to light, Kevin will be completely vindicated.”
